Working in a team of Catholic men and women has been such a joy. Comfortably living out and sharing my faith with my staff team and the children is what I have always wanted to do in teaching.
As well as being a tutor here, your children also attend RCA. How have you found that?
I was very keen to help with this incredible opportunity for my children's formation and education and to help other families to be able to access the academy also. I have found it has been helpful in my own formation too!
I want my children to grow up surrounded by Catholic friends and adults who will inspire them in their learning, faith, and formation.
The hybrid set-up has meant my children can get the best of both. We love our academy days and love our home days.
How do you find co-teaching with parents?
I have found the most passionate tutors are the parents, what a clever system!
What difference do you think this approach makes to the children?
RCA is a place where the children learn from and are around those seeking to give glory to God. Falling like all of us, but through faith and reason being lifted back up.
The children dedicate all their work to the greater glory of God (Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam by writing the initials AMDG) or to the Holy Family (Jesus, Mary and Joseph by writing the initials JMJ).
What would you say to someone considering becoming an RCA tutor?
Do you want to work with an inspiring Catholic team who are passionate about giving glory to God, using a beautiful Classical curriculum and serving the next generation who are hungry to learn? RCA could be for you!
